What to do when suffering an asthma attack

The four recommended steps in an asthma attack are:

1: Sit up straight and try to keep calm;
2: Take on puff of your reliever inhaler every 30-60 seconds for up to 10 puffs;
3: If you don’t feel better call 999 for an ambulance;
4: While waiting for an ambulance repeat step two every 15 minutes
